My name is Emily Golden and I am the Kindergarten teacher here at Harmony Elementary. I began my first full year of teaching at Harmony Elementary in 2020 when I had the unique experience of teaching both the 3rd-8th grade cohort of Home Learning students as well as the 2nd grade in-person cohort. This is my 4th year here at Harmony after teaching Kindergarten these past two years. Before I earned my Multiple Subject teaching credential at Sonoma State, I earned a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I am passionate about outdoor and environmental education and have spent many summers working in outdoor/environmental ed for a local nonprofit here in Sonoma County. I believe that children benefit from connecting with nature and learning through play. Kindergarten is a critical year of growth for children both socially, emotionally, and academically. In Kindergarten, your child will learn the critical skills that they will need to become lifelong learners.
